We recommend that plates, dishes etc. be packed on their sides as opposed to flat, this minimises breakages during transportation.
Soft items, i.e. bedding, towels, soft toys etc. can be placed into strong polythene bags as opposed to cartons.
Pictures and mirrors are safest when wrapped in bubble wrap, unless small enough to be wrapped and placed into cartons.
When transporting garden tools, we suggest that you bundle a few together with strong brown tape, this makes for easier handling.

- Label all cartons with what is packed inside and what room it is to be placed in at your new property.
- If any dismantling is undertaken to carry out your removal, ensure all fixtures and fittings are labelled and positioned in a safe place.
- Use original boxes if possible and ensure cartons are packed tightly ensuring there is no movement inside.
- Finally, ensure you don’t pack anything you may need!! E.g. car keys and passport. It can be very hard to retrieve these when the van is loaded.
